Best Products for Stretch Marks
I have been one of those really unlucky women that battle stretch marks during pregnancy. I’ve tried preventing them with lotions, body butters, oils, you name it. Sometimes stretch marks are inevitable no matter what products you use. They can be hereditary which means sometimes the odds are ever in your favor and sometimes they’re not.
If you’re like me and have to deal with the pesky stretch marks, I’ve found some amazing products that I absolutely love that help me deal with them. I may not have been able to prevent all of the stretch marks like I wanted, but I can treat them and help alleviate them. I have noticed that out of any of these products, the oils have helped to diminish the appearance of my stretch marks and help the most with itching.
I broke my favorites up into categories of lotions, body butters, and oils just in case you prefer one over the other.

Earth Mama Belly Butter
By far my favorite lotion is this Belly Butter from Earth Mama. I love it because it’s extremely lightweight and can be used both day and night. It has essential oils that are great for skin elasticity. The essential oils in it create a really clean, fresh smell which I love. It’s not like most body butters with the warm sweet scent that can be over powering, especially during pregnancy. Considering this is going right on my belly and being absorbed by my skin, I love that this product is organic.
Dr. Teal’s Body Lotion
I picked this up from Wal-Mart on a limb one day and fell in love. This lotion from Dr. Teal’s is absolutely amazing. There are ton’s of different scents and the lotion feels super luxurious. This is the same brand that makes the epsom salt bath mixes that I also love, so I trust it tremendously. This lotion is a bit on the thicker side, so I usually have to give it some time to soak in before getting dressed.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lotion
I’m sure you’ve heard so much about this product. It is definitely a tried and true product for a lot of women. When my skin is feeling extra dry or itchy but I still need to get dressed to go out, this is my go to lotion. I’m not a huge fan of the scent, but it makes my skin feel amazing and moisturized.
Burt’s Bees Mama Bee
I can’t say that this is my favorite product just because of the scent. However, it’s one of the only belly butters that will actually help relieve the itching from stretch marks which is huge for me. I’ve gotten stretch marks on my boobs really bad, and when they’re kept up in a bra all day, I get really itchy. I love to apply this when I get dressed in the morning and when I let the girls loose for the night. You can find it here.
Bath & Body Works Cocoa Shea
Cocoa Shea is probably one of my favorites out of all of the products I’m talking about. Not only do I absolutely love the coconut scent from this (that lasts all day might I add), I love the moisture the whipped butter gives my skin. This cream makes my skin super soft and moisturized which is extremely important when dealing with stretch marks.
Soap & Glory Righteous Butter
One of my girlfriends bought this body butter for me for my bridal shower when I was getting married and I fell in love. When I first found out I was pregnant this was one of the first products I reached for. It’s extremely thick and moisturizing so I usually apply this right before I go to bed. I always wake up feeling like extremely soft like a baby.
I swear by Bio-Oil. While being pregnant, it’s almost impossible to get rid of the red stretch marks. They say it should go away after birth, but until them I want to treat them as much as I can. Yes, I can still see my stretch marks and they aren’t pretty, but after a few weeks of using this product, my stretch marks aren’t as prominent as they were before I started using this.
Earth Mama Belly Oil
Just like the Belly Butter, this belly oil has been a life changer for me. I am a huge fan of essential oils, which this has a lot of. I love to keep this product with me wherever I go because it helps so much with the itching from my continuous stretching skin. I also love to apply this right after the shower because I feel like it actually penetrates into my skin instead of sitting on top.
